Mr. Kaimal received his Ph.D degree from Mehta Research Institute, (now Harish Chandra Institute), (University of Allahabad) in 1978. He spent two years in the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (1977-'79) as a Research Associate. He did his post doctoral work at the National Institute of Health Bethesda, Maryland U.S.A (1981-'84) on John Fogarty International Fellowship. He had visited ICPAM, Nice, France (1984) on a UNESCO Fellowship. He was a faculty member of Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi (1979-'87). He has to his credit about 40 publications including a few in Computer Journal, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, Sadhana, Foundations of Computer Science, Trans of ASME etc. Seven doctoral thesises in Computer Science were successfully completed under his guidance. His main areas of Research Interests are Image processing, Fuzzy Logic Systems, Data Structure and Artificial Intelligence. Currently, he is the professor And Head of the Department of Computer Science, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.

K. Revathy
Dr.K.Revathy working as Professor in Computer Science at our Department, took her masters in Applied Mathematics from Madras University in 1969 and joined National Aeronautical Laboratory, Bangalore during 1969-70 for her research and completed her Ph.D. at Kerala University in 1974. She was working as a scientist at the Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, Mumbai during 1974-83 before joining Kerala. University. Her topics of interest are Image compression, Image analysis, wavelets, fractals, medical image processing , pattern recognition.
She has been working on Image Processing and analysis, Wavelet analysis of images and time series, Fractal Techniques in image compression, analysis and classification of images and remote sensed data and Image processing in Astrophysics. She has more than 60 research papers to her credit and four students have taken Ph.D. under her guidance. She has presented papers at a number of national and international conferences including IAGA at Exeter, UK and PIERS at Hongkong. Her work at National MST radar Facility of ISRO fetched her the best paper award from ISRO at National Space Science Symposium during 1996.

M.Wilscy joined our department as a professor in 2002 January. She took her
BSc Engineering (Electrical) Degree from T K M college of Engineering Kollam,
with third rank from University of Kerala in 1977 and joined the same college
as lecturer next year. She took her M E (automation) from school of Computer
Science and automation, Indian Institute of Science, Banglore in 1983.She
got promoted as assistant professor at T K M College of Engineering 1986.
She took her PhD Degree from Dept. of computer science, Indian Institute of
Technology Madras in 1995. She continued as assistance professor in T K M
till she joined our department. She has got a few publications in international
publications and her areas of interests are Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks,
Neurofuzzy Systems, Image Processing etc.

D Muhammad Noorul Mubarak joined our department
as a Lecturer in 2001 December. He took his Post Graduate Degree in Computer
Science from Jamal Mohammad College,Bharathi Dasan University,Trichirappalli
in 1992. He worked as a Lecturer in Sadakathullah Appa College, Manonmaniam
Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli from Aug 1993 to Dec 2001. His areas of
interests are Computer Networks, Software Engineering & Image Processing,
Operating Systems, Computer Architecture etc.

Mr Aji S joined our department as a lecturer in
2001 December. He took his MCA Degree from Cochin University of Science and
Technology in March 2001. His areas of interests are Data Mining & Image
Processing etc.
